The site aim is to be a mix of Owen one-name study, Owen family history and more. Geographically my branch of the Owen family, as far as I have researched, has not strayed very far; Milverton in Somerset to Bristol. The coming of the railway and the prospect of higher wages appears to have lured them from the country to the city.
The information mainly concentrates on the Somerset and Bristol areas, but if family members moved then they have been tracked to their destinations where possible.
Civil registration provides an index of all recorded events of Owen births, marriages and deaths, in the Bristol and Wellington areas to 1919, not just those of my immediate family.
